I have ser. BANJ 1101136 BF150, but with a 2010 wiring harness. Will this enable me to read engine data on a chart plotter(Garmin 441s), using the appropriate cable? Thanks, in advance.

Well it won't be NMEA 0183 for sure No Honda motors will out put engine data on nmea 0183 I can say 100% positively until I check the vin number with the service buliten I and pretty sure with the addition of the nmea 2000 cable and a buss network it should be able to give this info to be displayed on the garmin if it has the nmea 2000 input moving fwd nmea 2000 will replace 0183 and it predecessors These functions of the newer multi function displays will make a lot of traditional dash board gases obsolete Lots of good stuff but you need to know what you are doing to get it all hooked up and operating properly As it is with most all electronics equipment hooking up things wrong can damage components

Thanks Hondacat. I wonder if you'd mind checking my ser.no. against that service bulletin. I last was quoted $90.00 for a Honda cable.

It wil plug in no problem but there is a serial number break where Honda changed the emm to enable the out put of a signal the multi function display could display/understand Even if your fish finder display can not project this information a gmi-10 can be added these instruments are pretty much making traditional gauges obsolete Take a minute to look at this although the price of this gauge is a little expensive it can be set/programmed to display as much or as little as you want and can be added with one wire nmea 2000 hook up it's a all in one gauge I would expect to go down in cost as it becomes more popular buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/on-the-water/instruments-sensors/gmi-10-marine-instrument/prod11625.html#gallery-dialog

The serial number break is 1304171 so as Is you motor can not broadcast this information directly from the emm Separate sensors and a nmea 2000 network can be added to display most common desired motor functions All std rotation bf 150 s with this serial number and all subsequent numbers will have this nmea 2000 signal available at the 6 pin engine diagnostic plug under the motor cover where you would plug in your nmea 2000 adapter harness

Thanks, Hondacat. Its primarily the fuel management I want to get a handle on. Replacing the emm-even with a used unit-seems like the long way around. Even if I could find one.

Even if I could find one. that's a easy fix install a flow sensor in fuel line call Derek at the shop with the model and serial number of your garmin we will make sure it will work rite before we sell you any thing
