This one probably could have been posted in a few different forums. I met Frank on Wednesday. I came in because I found out they carried Herring strips and I was going to try meat rigs for the first time. Frank came out and we talked for about 1/2 hour. I'm new to the south side of the lake and he took the time to not only go over how to run the meat rigs but also where to fish gps numbers the whole nine yards. Hit the water on Saturday (my birthday) to fish with my brother, brother in law and another buddy. I have been looking forward to this all week. My brother and I have been working on the boat for two weeks and now we're going fishing. We launch the boat about 6:15 and about 2 miles out of Pastrick the boat losses power the motor is running but we have no speed. We limp back into the marina and put the boat back on the trailer. We start back towards home and I decide to call Calumet Marine. Frank answers the phone and I tell him my dilemma. Frank tells me he is closed and just working in the shop to catch some things up but just to come by and he would take a look. We pull up to the back of the shop and Frank comes out looks at the boat for about 30 seconds and determines the prop has gone bad. Not only has the prop gone bad but the one we have on the boat is the wrong pitch. 15 min. later we have a new prop and we are on our way back to go fishing. Hit the marina again about 11:00 am run out to the numbers Frank gave me and go 2 for 4 on kings one about 17 lbs. the other 12 lbs. all of the hits on meat rigs which I have never run before. I just did what Frank told me. Thanks Frank for your advice and help. You have a customer for life. Bill
