wow! what a difference a good instructor does make!!!! thanks captain mike for making the trip down here from the far north side of the city to teach this class
for all the guys contemplating the next session call today ! before this ship sails these are small classes and must be full to make it worth the trip for the instructor this makes a tough job , getting a good education, and a captains license seem almost easy even if you never want to captain a charter boat its amazing how much you learn about the rules of the road and safety this class could easily save you a lot of grief if your the guy that wants to find adventure/fun out here on the big water You don't have to learn the hard way and making some mistakes that potentially could cause you some serious injury or death fyi calumet marine is closed Saturday's while this course is in session please call or email we have additional evening hours by appointment to meet your drop off and pick up needs while the class is going on

well class is about over one week left
I just wanted to share this with every one that's ever wanted a little formal training on navigating these great lakes and rivers
if your just in a 14 row boat or a 16 lund on lake Michigan a bass boat on the calumet river or a off shore boat capable of taking our friends and family this captains training is for you ! I have thought about getting my captains license some 30 years ago and never di it because I just did not want to make fishing another job
but what I have learned since this class started is I did not know near as much as I should have to step foot into any boat on navigable water
GUYS TAKE THE CLASS SOME DAY SOME WHERE !!! YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID MY ONLY REGRET I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT YEARS AGO ITS JUST A LOT MORE FUN WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING OR SUPOSED TO BE DOING

I could not agree more what a great instructor Captain Mike is. He really knows how to take the pressure off of his students to make the class fun. Thanks Mike

Almost have my document packet ready to send to the USCG and hope to have the DNR inspections done on the KingSeeker by early spring. I will begin booking trips shortly after. A big thanks goes out to Frank and his family for hosting the Captains class at Calumet Marine . This was the first Captains class held on the southside making the cost and stress of travel much less for us southsiders.
