I could only go out Wednesday am because of wind.
Set lines around 5:30 in front of the golf course in 80-100 fow. Had two on a dipsey with a blue glow spoon. Nothing on the others. As the sun came up I headed toward 125-150 fow. I changed one dr to a yellow haze and yellow meat rig. Had hit right away and then another. Continued going south. Changed the other dr to purple meat rig. One down 50 and the other 70. No hits for a while. Went out to 175 -250 still going south. Hit fish down 90-100 ft. All rods took fish. Put a blue meat rig on the other dipsey and used the cu for the first time. Circled back through the area, still just south of the course, and continued to get fish/hits. The 300 cu took 2 fish on a blue/green dolphin spoon. My partner had to practice a little keeping the fish on. I thought we had 9 in the box and he was bringing in the last one. He lost it. I already started pulling lines as he was fighting the fish. When We went to clean them we only had 8. Should have counted. All nice fish 16# plus. We went back in around 11. Fish were still hitting.
We did not mark any fish out in deep water where we had at least 9 fish on. We were down 90-100' on the dr, back 250 on the dipseys. It was fun. We saw some fish in the top 25'. I should have put a 6th rod out to try for these. We were having steady action so I got lazy.
Good day,
Bob
