I fished New Buffalo Thursday and Friday. Fishing seemed to be slow for everyone out. I picked up 4 and lost 1. The 3 fish were all on a blue spoon on a dipsey 80-100 feet back. The others were on a bloody nose down 30' and a green dolphin on a dipsey. I fished straight out in 45-90 fow with a gps speed reading of 2.3-2.5. I never had one hit on flies and dodgers. The fish were 7-15# and nothing in their stomach. They certainly look healthy and acted that way. I saw fish feeding on the top, but could not get anything to go.
I had friends each day; warblers flying north. One was a female Blackburnian that spent two hours catching flies on the boat. I bet it caught 40 lies and othe bugs during this time. The other was a male American Restart. IT only spent an hour or so with me.
