looks like doynes in the ditch bro a favorite spot when portage is iced in i used to launch my buddys 44. carrara there when we had it off the tailer it would be stuck in the mud on the other bank great job what was the hot bait the red brads thin fish with rattles have been hot there at just under 1 mps sog

Yes it is doynes and the only thing we could get to work was a jig and squid casting and after talking to a few other guys sounds like we did the best realy? how slow could you get it down too trolling ? some times you have to zig zag to get the bait to change up the speeds similar to the action of casting biggest thing this time of year is slow though may be a little in and out of gear action are the piles of ice still on the beach? soon as they are gone fish will move in there between the sand bar and the shore was always fun sending the inline boards in there lots of the time you could see the fish following the bait then hit
