Went out to 46 - 24 . Left the harbor about 330pm . Took a 3 man limit 14 nice cohos and a bonus 16lb king . Hottest rigs where stop light special ( large orange dodger w/ green krinkle Eddies fly ) fished on a rigger 4 - 6' behind the ball 33 - 37' down . Also fished 1 on a dipsey #3 setting 115' back . And a banna rig (yellow dodger w/ a eddies green crinkle fly ) fished the same way as the stop lights . Couldnt get lead or short coppers to fire .

stay safe out there wind and waves are manageable size and speed is dependant on two thing how well a captain KNOWS HIS BOAT AND THEW SIZE AND SHAPE OF THE BOAT ITSELF the first hint of lightning i don't care how far off in the distance it is I am out of there fun is over if some one gets hurt kingseeker got lucky LIGHTNING hit with in 50' of the boat he was close enough to see the water boil as it was being vaporized it just blew out some electronics if it hits the boat some one is hurt and hurt bad most likely dead fun is over if some one gets hurt

you sai a mouthfull Frank, Ive been o Lake Erie when casting the line just floated in the air from the electricity in the atmosphere. Found out later we could have been struck at any time. Graphite rods and a fiberglass boat and you have a floating capacitor. When the hair on your arms start standing up,it's past time to leave.
