This old beauty of a Slick craft gets some neat upgrades some transoms dont have a double core all the way to the corners if the core is only 3/4 thick we always recommend glassing another layer of 3/4 marine plywood all the way from the top to the bottom of the transom where you are installing the kicker glued and and sealed with west system epoxy set back is important to clear any trim tabs and get the turbulence caused by the kicker away from transducers and make room for the power head when the kicker is tilted up should be clear of the wake underway adding some tracks to side of hard top and trolling bars to gunnels

note!! NEVER MOUNT KICKERS TO SINGLE LAYER TRANSOM WITH OUT GOING INSIDE AND ADDING ANOTHER LAYER OF MARINE PLYWOOD AND FIBERGLASS SOME TRANSOMS HAVE NO CORE AT ALL FOR EXAMPLE 2000 AND NEWER (BAYLINER TROPHY) TWO LAYERS OF 3/4 MARINE PLYWOOD WOULD BE REQUIRED WITH AT LEAST ONE LAYER FROM FLOOR TO TOP OF RUB-RAIL
